Supply Chain Communication and ES/CSA/CSR - Processes and IT tools- (1day)
REACH relies on communication along the supply chain. Knowing what you need to communicate to whom and how in an efficient way is of utmost importance at this stage of preparation for the forthcoming registration of substances in the large volume band.
If you are a supplier (M/I), you have to communicate to you customers downstream in the supply chain and exchange of information in order to prepare Exposure Scenarios that serve as foundation for the CSA/CSR process. You want to ensure that information on uses of a substance on its own, in preparation or articles is reported to you in order to prepare scenarios and carry out estimation of potential risks for man and environment.
If you are a downstream user you must not place on the market or use any substances which are not registered in accordance with REACH. In practice, you have to communicate to your suppliers upstream in the supply chain to ensure that your uses will be covered by an exposure scenario. In addition to your upstream communication, depending on your specific role of a DU you also may need to communicate further downstream to your distributors, retailers and customers in your supply chain.
This one day workshop will lead you through all the processes necessary for preparation of a CSR . It will help you to understand key concepts and related REACH obligations depending on your role. Moreover, you will get familiar with the major exposure estimation tools and its links with the overall process of ES/CSA/CSR.
